Why do Saudis say only one tasleem in funeral prayer while we say two?
Answer
We believe that there are things in the prayer which have been transmitted through tawatur and ijma of the generations of the believers. These are the things which form the basic structure of the ritual. The differences occur where there is no such unanimous and agreed upon sunnah taught by the Prophet (sws).
