Question

I am from Kashmir University and doing post graduation in physics and my core paper is astrophysics. I have read that the evolution of the universe takes place through the through Big Bang theory according to which a point mass explodes and heavenly bodies are produced. Please guide me from religious point of view.

Answer

Since the Big Bang is a scientific theory its explanation can only be sought in field of science. We can talk of the religious stance on a scientific issue but we cannot explain a pure scientific matter in religious terms.
It needs to be appreciated the realm of science is different and Islam has left human intellect to grapple with it. Islam only guides us on the moral implications of science and its theories and not the theories themselves.
