Salam on you. Sir I want to ask about what is the Islamic concept of motivation for teaching/learning?Also, how Islam defines process of teaching and learning?
Answer
The urge to learn and teach is a natural and instinctive requirement of the human nature just like other basic needs. Islam does not exhort explicitly upon general learning of skills etc. nor does it introduce any specific method for the purpose. However Islam does impose some moral and ethical restrictions regarding the utilization of the skills and arts that we learn. As God fearing human beings, we are expected to learn and utilize our skills for our own betterment and welfare as well as that of the human race. This in fact is the moral guidance provided by the religion as it does in other issues of general human activity.
