Is it necessary to take shoes off while offering the funeral Prayer? Can we offer the five daily and other optional Prayers with shoes on?
Answer
It is a prerequisite for a valid offering of all types of ritual Prayers that we are ritually clean by performing wudu. We must also make sure that our garment and the place of worship are clean and pure. Wearing shoes does not harm the Prayer but if they are dirty as usually shoes in our country are then we should avoid offering Prayers with shoes on
