My son was born on 21st March 2001. I intend to register his name in the Muncipal Committee on 21st March 2003. Is it justified religiously?

If you intend to register the date of birth as 21st March 2003 then what you intend to do is to make a false statement in an official document. I consider such an act to be a fraudulent enrollment, which is contrary to moral and religious codes. Moreover it is against the national law, which you are required to abide by. The Holy Qur’an binds us to strictly observe the legal injunctions, formulated by the government. Therefore you are recommended to avoid the stated act.
