Is removing pubic hair necessary in Islam?

Thank you for writing to us. Like every religion Islam has a set of beliefs and a set of religious practices. In Islam these practices are called sunan (singular sunnah). These are signs and symbols of our belief and a token of our practical adherence to the religion of Islam. Removing pubic hair is one such practice which is followed by the believers as taught by the Prophet [pbuh] under the direct guidance of the Almighty Allah.
