Question
I have lived a life full of sins. Despite having a family I have had many instances of cheating on my wife and committing adultery. I have begged forgiveness from Allah but went back and committed sins. I am going for hajj this year but am very scared, please help me.
Answer
According to the teachings of Islam one can always repent and seek God’s forgiveness. True repentance means not going back to the filth of sinfulness. You should commit not to return to the sinful activities and worship God as much as possible. One may not lose hope in God’s mercy and there is always a chance to correct oneself.
May God accept your true resolve to follow the path of His liking and accept your pleadings for forgiveness.
