If faced with a decision to perform Umrah or provide financial help to the poor and destitute (there are many in Pakistan) what is the right thing to do? Go for Umrah and make the hotel owners and airlines rich or help the poor?
Answer
This has much to do with the situation one is faced at a particular instance. If there is a specific case that needs financial aid, then of course one can always prefer spending the umrah money on this need. In the absence of such cases which need immediate financial help, one can of course opt to go for ‘umrah. ‘Umrah of course is an optional ritual and one always has the liberty to make a positive or a negative decision in this regard.
