Recently a question has arisen on media about a book where PBUH was not written with the Prophet’s name. My question is whether it is obligatory to write PBUH or SAW when writing a book or an academic paper. I have tried to search for this on internet but I have not found any reasonable resource. Kindly guide me on this with references. Also guide me about the early scholars as what they used to do when writing Prophet’s name.<\/p>\n
We believe that the believers are required to invoke Allah\u2019s blessings upon the Prophet pbuh very often. It certainly encourages them to do so in all sorts of works. However, it does not mean that it would not be allowable for a believer to utter or write the name of the Prophet pbuh without customary salutation. There is no such obligation in the Shari\u2019ah.<\/p>\n
