One of my Shia friend sent this hadith as a reply on incident of Fadak. Please help me to explain Fadak in the light of below mentioned hadith. <\/p>\n

Narrated Ayesha (mother of the believers), After the death of Allah\u2019s Apostle Fatima, the daughter of Allah\u2019s Apostle asked Abu Bakr As-Siddiq to give her the share of inheritance from what Allah\u2019s Apostle had left of the Fai (i.e. booty gained without fighting) which Allah had given him. Abu Bakr said to her, the Holy Prophet (saww) had said, Our property will not be inherited, whatever we (i.e. prophets) leave is Sadaqah (to be used for charity). Fatima, the daughter of Allah\u2019s Apostle got angry and stopped speaking to Abu Bakr, and continued assuming that attitude till she died. Fatima remained alive for six months after the death of the Holy prophet (saw). <\/p>\n

I really do not understand what you mean by this Hadith being a ‘reply’ on the incident of Fadak and that you would like to ‘explain’ Fadak in the light of this Hadith.<\/p>\n

The Hadith suggests that Fatima (ra-ha) had a disagreement and an argument with Abubakr (ra) about the issue of Fadak and that as the result of that she was upset with Abubakr (ra) and did not talk to him till her death which came a few months later.<\/p>\n

What is wrong with the above? What is there that needs explanation? Two fallible human beings have a disagreement and consequently one of them gets upset and does not talk with the other one. Do we have any indications in the Qur’an that the companions or the members of the family of the Prophet (pbuh) were beyond human beings and therefore had to behave different? Even the Prophet (pbuh) was not like that.<\/p>\n

I think the Hadith fits easily with the explanation given here:<\/em><\/p>\n
