In his opinion, the word <em>&#8216;jih\u0101d&#8217;<\/em> stands for the difficulties and fatigues endured by the Muslims for the cause of religion. The word \u2018<em>Subul\u2019<\/em> signifies opening of the doors of mortal and eternal  success. There is no doubt that the matter under discussion is referred  to the Companions but this verse addresses the human being in general.
