Do you know where the original Al-Qur\u2019an is? I was told that it is in museum safekeeping but I would like to know which museum and how can I go there? <\/p>\n

Answer<\/h3>\n

I understand by the original Qur\u2019an you mean the copies of the Qur\u2019an prepared by Hazrat Uthman the third caliph. He is said to have prepared many copies and two of them are claimed to be present one in the Topkapi museum in Istanbul and the other in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. These copies are not open for research. It is not an acknowledged fact that the copies actually belong to that time. <\/p>\n

The authenticity of the Qur\u2019an does not hinge upon these ancient copies rather it depends upon the wide dissemination of the Qur\u2019an. Most of the companions had compiled and committed the Qur\u2019an to memory and passed it on to the next generations. It has been transmitted to us with the consensus of the entire generations of the Muslims over the centuries.
