Now he has recently read on some Islamic website that doing so renders<em> nikah <\/em>null  and void. I have already given him my opinion in this regard but he  wants an expert opinion. Can you please shed some light on this issue?<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody><\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h3>Answer<\/h3>\n<p>I am sorry I cannot comment on the view that this act renders the <em>nikah<\/em>  null and void because I do not know the arguments they have offered in  support of the judgment. I understand that it does not affect the <em>nikah<\/em>.  This is because it does not include the conventional ways of severing  marriage ties. The man can at best be charged with concealing the truth  and lying.
