Some say that you can eat meat and chicken in  restaurants that belong to people of books such as Christians and Jews  but some say it is <em>har\u0101m<\/em> as they do not pronounce the name of  All\u0101h while slaughtering. I have a great honour and respect for  professor Ghamdi. I will appreciate an immediate reply as he no doubt is  a learned professor.<\/p>\n<h3>Answer<\/h3>\n<p><em>wa alaykum assal\u0101m!<\/em> <\/p>\n<div>The permission given in the Qur\u2019\u0101n to consume the meat which is slaughtered by <em>Ahl Al-Kit\u0101b <\/em>is  with the assumption that they do follow their Shar\u012b\u2018ah (religious  rules) when slaughtering the animal.
