I believe that the way which you apply the  Islamic teachings is very clean.<\/p>\n<div>Sir I am 19 years old and I am sick of masturbation and my question pertains to this particular issue. I  have heard that it is not prohibited in Islam but I want to learn your  view on the issue. Is Masturbation really prohibited in Islam?<\/div>\n<h3>Answer<\/h3>\n<p>The Qur\u2019an (6:151) says: \u201c\u2026and do not come near obscenity, both hidden and apparent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In  my opinion, masturbation definitely goes under the category of coming  near to obscenity. Also note that one cannot masturbate while thinking  about a mathematical equation.
