My question is regarding the time of prophet Nooh.
In the talks of Ghamidi sb, he has often said that people have misunderstood the occurrence and the scale of the floods that took place at the time of prophet Nooh after the prophet delivered his message.<\/p>\n
A common perception about the flood among Muslims is that it covered the whole world, while the atheists\/ modern science tells that there are no proofs or evidence that such a large flood happened in the near history around the globe.<\/p>\n
Ghamidi sb says in response that the flood took place in a small area where the prophet was and even only few animals of use were kept in his ship not all creatures.<\/p>\n
BUT ON THE OTHER HAND.
Ghamidi sb has also said that todays all human beings are from Prophet Nooh ancestry. And that after Prophet Adam, all humans are from the lineage of prophet Nooh.<\/p>\n
Now my question is that how is this possible that the flood took place in a limited area on limited people. But all other humans at that time were killed, as we are from Prophet Nooh\u2019s lineage?<\/p>\n

Let me first clarify that the territorial extent of the flood of Noah (as) is unknown to us. It could have been a large area but obviously not the entire earth. Further, we do not know what was the spread and density of the human population at that time. It could well be that humans inhabited only a well defined area on earth and were not spread ot as much as they are today. Also, Ustaz Ghamidi doesn’t say that all humans today are descendants of Noah (as). He says that majority of\u00a0humans today are his descendants. It cannot be said that all the humans today are descendants of Noah because there were other believers along with him who were saved in the Ark, besides the people whom the flood did not affect.<\/p>\n
