Question
I like your programmes a lot and feel that Mr Ghamidi has waited inadequately long time to hold this type debates. Yet it’s never too late. I live in UK and feel sorry that Qādiyānī has misled so many people in the subject of khatam-I nubuwat. They also refer to Imām Ibn al-‘Arabī and Imām Ghazālī to affirm that these scholars were also of the opinion that a Prophet can come after the Prophet Muhammad (sws). And it does not affect khātam al-nabiyyīn status of the Prophet Mohammad (sws). I would like Mr Ghamidi to throw some light on this subject. If you choose this topic kindly inform me on this email address so that I can watch and record it. Or else kindly give me some reply.
Answer
I think the verse 33:40 is very clear about the Prophet (sws) being the seal of prophets and therefore the last prophet of God.
“Those whom We have given the Book recognize him (the Prophet sws) as they recognize their sons” (6:20)
