I have two questions to ask.
1. What is exactly meant by the Arabic word “salah” which we normally translate in Urdu as namaz?
2. What is the view of Mr Javed Ahmad Ghamidi about Eid Milad-un-Nabi?
Answer
1. The word al-salah and its cognate terms are used to refer to the Muslim worship ritual. Persian and Urdu word namaz also refers to the same ritual.
